individual child/milestone portrait session

Watching a baby grow over the first year of their life is amazing. Suddenly they have personality, likes and dislikes, giggles and curiosity about everything around them. To see how they grow and change over that year is a joy. I adore seeing babies come back to me to capture those milestones because not only can I see the ways they have changed but also the ways they have stayed the same; the same little profile, the same dimple, the same little curl to their ear. I love to create continuous pieces that will coordinate in your nursery and home, using the same colors or tones, and themes, so that you can enjoy your artwork as one beautiful masterpiece.

I've also found that families sometimes put off scheduling individual children's portraits for years between toddler years and high school graduation. Mom blinks one day and instead of a preschooler she finds a burgeoning tween who is off to sleepovers and middle school adventures. These years of young adults coming into their own and finding their way in the world can be hectic, crazy and honestly at times, just something you are trying to survive! But don't blink or you will have a graduating senior and you will wonder where are the portraits of those flown by years in between. Take the time to schedule a portrait session for you tween and capture all of the amazing things that are happening in their life right now and don't miss out on giving them the gift of a confidence boost in a beautiful portrait!

Individual child portrait sessions are available on a limited basis and previous newborn clients do receive priority scheduling for their milestone sessions. Baby milestone sessions often occur at 6 months and 1-year, with the option of a fun cake smash at the end of the 1-year session. All non-newborn sessions can be done either in studio or on location around the Charlotte area (a travel fee applies to locations outside of a 15 mile radius from my studio in Harrisburg).  Your session fee includes the design and production of custom sets and provides you access to all of my props, outfits and accessories; all products, prints and digital files are purchased separate from the session fee.

At the end of your session we will schedule an in person gallery reveal to take place at my studio. You will view your full gallery of 10 - 15 images both in a digital slideshow as well as in print. {WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR CHILD'S SESSION}  Please bring ANY wardrobe items you think might work, and together we can choose which will photograph best to give you a nice variety of images. Bring your baby’s whole closet if you’d like! You are invited to browse my pinterest boards that have fun wardrobe ideas for boys and girls, and contain clothing items, outfits, and brands that I feel photograph well.  You may also bring your child’s favorite toy, book, snack, treat or small drink to the session to help them feel comfortable.

add a CAKE SMASH

To celebrate your baby’s milestone 1st birthday you can add a custom CAKE SMASH to your child's portrait session for just *$75.00 more (adds approximately 10 digital images to your gallery). You bring the cake and balloons and I will provide all fun decorations and all the cleanup supplies for baby. Once you book your portrait session and cake smash, we will plan out ALL the fun details.  

Full session fee (plus cake smash add on if applicable and sales tax) due at the time of the session.  Retainer fee $50 required at the time of booking and will be applied to your session fee.
