it's a girl | charlotte nc newborn photographer | staci noel photography by Staci Noel

It has been a run of baby boys around here lately and I've been dying for a little girl! Don't get me wrong; I love my baby boys - I even have one myself who continues to be the biggest momma's boy ever but I was missing out on some of these big, floral, princess crowns, girly shots!

Thankfully this gorgeous little miss came in to my studio and I could not have dreamed up a more beautiful face to photograph among the flowers. She even brought her furry siblings in for a few shots!

Welcome sweet Nia and congratulations to this wonderful family on their very own princess!

Handsome Baby Boy | Staci Noel Photography Charlotte Newborn Photographer by Staci Noel

This little man came into my studio at 26 days earth side, which for photographing newborns can be a whole different set of challenging. Most babies I photograph are within the first two weeks of life simply because that's the easiest time to capture them when they are still very flexible and they spend a majority of their time sleeping. After a few weeks they become a bit more alert, touch sensitive and can be a bit harder to coax into cooperating.

This beautiful momma contacted me and I happened to have a last minute opening so we decided to give it a go even though her sweet boy was outside of that early window. And boy did he make me work and work hard for it! But after several long hours we managed to get an amazing session full of images that mom and dad were so excited about. We even managed a few prop setups to go in his travel themed nursery - since these two are world travelers it was perfect to get Logan all set up with his suitcases and ready to explore:)

Thanks so much for letting me tell your story!

charlotte-family-photographer | Fall Mini Sessions by Staci Noel

Family portrait sessions are always a fun change of pace for me and of course fall is the busiest time of the year for family portraits. It's also come to my attention though that fall is a crazy busy time for newborns as well - I don't know what was going on 8 or 9 months ago but man have I been fielding newborn calls left and right lately. How can I pass up the opportunity to photograph in the gorgeous colors we always have around Charlotte and Harrisburg though, so I knew I had to come up with a plan to squeeze some family photo sessions in during October.

This year has been an extra crazy time for me personally as we are in the process of moving into our new home and my new studio space. Since we weren't quite sure of how that was all going to go down I decided to offer a weekend of mini sessions for my fall family bookings and I have to say I think it worked out great! Despite the fact that we got rained out one day and had to push into the next weekend I managed to photograph a bunch of families and get them all turned around prior to our move - no delayed Holiday Cards for my clients!!!

I am so blessed so have great clients that trust me year after year with these precious memories! Here's a quick peek at some of the great families, both new and return:),  that I got to create portraits with this year!

It's FALL PICTURE TIME!!!!

I know, I know, it's not exactly Fall yet; in fact right now it's 90+ here in Charlotte and everyone is still sweltering at their summer BBQs's, probably trying to squeeze in those last days at the beach and eeeeeking out the final days at the pool before all of the kiddos head back to the classroom.

But before you know it IT WILL BE that time of year when everyone's minds return to school schedules, fall sports, cooler autumn weather (FINALLY!!!!), and looking forward to the holidays to come! With all of that comes the mad scramble to get that final family picture for 2015 that you can use for those gorgeous holiday cards!

I always try to save several weekends in October and even November for family shoots, but inevitably I end up having to turn people away who might not remember to book until the last minute. And I know there are several newborn clients who would love to do family images but don't want a full portrait session since they have just done their newborn images. So with those things in mind this year I'm going to offer a weekend of mini sessions.

These sessions will be 30 minutes and will include digital files. As many of you know I have redesigned my portrait offerings to focus less on digital files and more on actual prints so this will only be a very limited offering that includes digitals; I realize that makes sense for holiday cards and so this time of year it made sense. I will be at one outdoor location with one holiday set that includes my gorgeous antique sofa and Christmas decor. If families wish to do portraits without the set we will shoot in foliage nearby.

The amount of sessions WILL BE LIMITED! I may be able to add an additional weekend in later but I will only have 8 slots open for this initial offering and I CANNOT GUARANTEE MORE WILL OPEN beyond that. The dates are October 10th and 11th and sessions will take place in the afternoon/early evening starting at around 4pm.

If you would like to book your Fall Mini Session, contact me at staci@stacinoelphotography.com with your preferred date and I will email you available times. Booking requires a $25 fee which is applicable to your session fee. Bookings will be on a first come, first serve basis.

If you would prefer a full family session I'm happy to discuss planning out an entire custom designed experience - please visit the Contact Me page and fill out my design questionnaire and I will be in touch soon!

charlotte-newborn-photographer | baby r is here! by Staci Noel

This little guy was so sound asleep when his parents walked into my studio that I popped him right out of his carseat and straight into shooting. I don't think I saw his eyes for the first 90 minutes that I had him posed!

He was absolute perfection from start to finish. I almost swooned every time I looked at the back of my camera - especially during the family portion of our shoot. It never ceases to amaze me how you can make the love between parents and their baby come to life in a still image.

To the R family - I sincerely hope that you all enjoyed being in my studio as much as I enjoyed photographing you! Thank you so much for trusting me with your sweet little man and I hope that you treasure this amazing images of your new family for many generations to come!
