harrisburg-nc-photographer | Back to Business with Portrait Sessions! by Staci Noel

Hey guys,

So it’s been forever since I’ve posted a blog. Frankly, it’s been a really bumpy last year and while I have continued to shoot and create I have really let certain aspects of my business slide as we’ve had some personal/family issues that have had to take precedence over everything else. Losing a family member suddenly means not only dealing with the emotional toll but it creates a whole other level of chaos in just the day to day functioning of life and I’ve had to step up and step into things that have required more of my attention and time. I’ve taken the bare minimum of work that I knew I could handle successfully while still being able to be there for my family during this past year and I really appreciate everyone that I have worked with during this difficult time. Grief is not a destination, it’s a journey where the scenery just changes as you go along. Having friends and clients that are so understanding has made the journey a little less difficult:)

But… now we are healing a bit and moving forward so I’m back in the studio regular hours and back to scheduling more sessions regularly. I’m very excited about sessions that I have coming up and to seeing where life goes the rest of 2019. I can’t wait to see my regular families and new babies and a new class of seniors for 2020!

Love you all so much,

Staci

It's no joke to say that I had probably 4x as many images as I could possibly share from McKenna's session! No need to add a lot of fluffy words either; these portraits speak for themselves! I had so much fun capturing this time for this truly wonderful girl and I know that her whole family will treasure the amazing artwork we created! I can't wait to work with her again in the spring for something truly spectacular; I'll keep it a surprise but I'm so excited!!!

At this point in my life as a newborn photographer I have clients that have spent years with me and are more than just clients; they are friends and I can't wait until I get to see them again for milestones and occasions. This family is one of those and when they told me last fall that they were expecting again I was thrilled that they asked me to capture their baby boy's first images for them!

We did a part lifestyle/part studio session and I'm just so in love with all of the gorgeous images and wonderful emotions we captured during our time together.

Congratulations to mom, dad and big sister - I'm over the moon for you guys and am once again so honored that you invited me into your home to meet your sweet baby boy!

I have photographed Mason since he was inside of his sweet momma's belly! I couldn't believe how huge he had gotten in the six months since his newborn session when we got back together at their friend's gorgeous farm just outside of Charlotte! Of course we had to take pictures in the adorable wagon and all together with mom and dad for an updated family portrait!

This location and the light are the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the adorableness in this little country baby - and he didn't disappoint with tons of cute smiles and hilarious personality!

my hunky nephew | charlotte baby photographer staci noel by Staci Noel

One year ago in December our family was blessed with the arrival of what can only be described as one funny, hunky, adorable little boy with the most amazing blue eyes! Good fortune and a little planning have allowed me to be around to take his newborn, 6 month, and now his first birthday portraits as my sister and her family came to Charlotte for the holidays to visit.

As with most one year old babies, sitting still in studio isn't always easy but he certainly wasn't shy about that cake and once we put it down on his level decided the best way to eat it was to simply put his face in it. A cake smash session doesn't get any better than that!

Happy birthday sweet boy!
